Board of Education Budget Presentation

Superintendent Harding presented the Board f Education’s 10/11 budget request.  Superintendent Harding explained to the Board that the BOE has work diligently to produce a budget that reflects the concerns voiced at the joint meeting of the boards in December.  The $7,634,296 request represents a 0.53% increase over the current year.  This includes a reduction of certified full-time employees by 2.6.  The Board of Education understands the pressure that the Board of Finances faces to keep real-estate taxes low and has approached this budget with due diligence.  He then reviewed the budget details to the Board.
